The Libra Group is the founding sponsor of Concordia, a non-profit organization seeking to promote public and private sector cooperation and build public-private partnerships around pressing global issues. Each year, Concordia hosts a forum of current and former world leaders, top officials from global corporations and prominent non-governmental organizations to provide an intimate and thought-provoking conversation around the important elements of building effective public-private partnerships.
Every Concordia Summit focuses on a particular theme, from combatting global extremism, to investing in youth, to scaling up collaborations that have proven effective. Keynote speakers at the Concordia Summit have included former U.S. Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton, former Colombian President Alvaro Uribe, former Polish President Aleksander Kwasniewski and Senator John McCain; and the keynote speaker for the fifth anniversary summit was U.S. Vice President Joe Biden.
In 2016 the Summit hosted nearly 2,000 attendees and was the largest and most impactful event to date. The ‘Campaign for a Sustainable Global Food Supply’ was launched, in addition to announcing new partners for the ‘Campaign Against Labour Trafficking’.
Concordia has been able to spotlight the best examples of collaboration between the public and private sectors and demonstrate how together we can create a more prosperous and sustainable future.
