Libra Interns Volunteer at Local Organizations for Intern Month of Service
April 6, 2018 – The Libra Internship Program (LIP) organized an Intern Month of Service engaging Libra interns to actively give back to their local communities. In March 2018, the Winter 2018 cohort joined efforts to support local NGOs and contribute to their noble missions, participating in volunteer days at six different organizations across Europe and the US: Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Washington D.C, Athens and London. Activities included cooking warm meals for the underserved, reading bedtime stories to children, planting trees and bowling with elementary and middle school students.
The Libra Group was founded on the core values of integrity, respect and trust – principles that continue to drive the organization today, in business and beyond. The Libra interns proudly carry these values with them. Excited to give back to a great cause as part of their internship experience, the interns were inspired by understanding first-hand the importance of generosity and how an act of selflessness can become a source of pure joy.
“This experience allowed me to generate positive impact in childrens’ lives and taught me that my actions are powerful. I was able to give children the most wonderful gift: a smile and a safe place.” Alejandra Bermúdez, Winter 2018 Business Administration Intern at Elandis
