Envolve USA Celebrates Latest Cohorts with Meta and Prudential
July 28, 2022 – Envolve Entrepreneurship started the summer strong, announcing the first of three cohorts with Meta supporting entrepreneurs working in environmental justice across a diverse range of projects, from sustainable agriculture practices to wetland microbiology. In June they launched a new cohort with Prudential Cares focused on supporting Black entrepreneurs.
As part of Envolve’s Founder Forward initiative, each cohort of budding entrepreneurs spends six weeks working with employee volunteers from the partner company. Through individualized professional advising, along with unrestricted capital awards, the cohort system helps these founders level up their businesses.
The Glorious Juneteenth cohort with Prudential Cares is supporting the next generation of Black entrepreneurs who are making meaningful commitments to Black business ownership and equity in their communities. The four founders in this cohort are: Roslyn Karamoko of Détroit is the New Black; Andrea Cozier McLean of PinetartCo; Richard Bloomfield, Gregory Williams, and Zachary Day of Funkytown Brewery; and Nicole Tinson of HBCU 20×20. These founders were selected across different industries for their missions to bring communities together, celebrate financial freedom and Black culture, and empower the next generation of wealth-building entrepreneurs.
