Concordia COVID-19 Webinar Series: Local Resiliency with World Central Kitchen
April 9, 2020 – In the wake of Covid-19, millions of people around the world have been left without a way to put food on their tables. With businesses and restaurants closing while senior centers and schools struggle to keep their doors open, food insecurity across the U.S. and around the world is continuing to rise. However, through initiatives such as World Central Kitchen’s #ChefsForAmerica Relief Effort, which has worked to deliver fresh, individually packed meals to communities most in need of support, and the power of public-private partnerships, the number of people without access to food can be significantly reduced.
Join this webinar to hear directly from Nate Mook, CEO of World Central Kitchen, and Assemblyman Michael Blake, who have partnered together to deliver thousands of fresh meals to local families in the Bronx.
When: Thursday, April 9, 2020
