Part of our responsibility in running an international business is to maximize our contribution to communities among whom we work while minimizing environmental impact. Another part of that responsibility is to actively give something back.
Libra Social Responsibility
As the social responsibility arm of the Libra Group, we manage or champion a wide range of initiatives that seek to deliver educational opportunity and business opportunity – and we actively support people who are marginalized or under-served. We believe in the principle of alleviating struggle by facilitating self-sufficiency. Which is why the concept of empowerment through education and the gift of ‘opportunity’ is a recurring theme in everything we do.
Investing in the community
The Libra Group was founded on the core values of integrity, respect and trust. These principles continue to drive the organization today, in business and beyond.
For us, that means translating intent into action wherever we operate – but always with sensitivity to the impact that we have among local communities. We believe strongly in the twin values of hope and opportunity and seek to make a difference while also preserving what is good.
Our wide range of community engagement activities comprise nine initiatives broadly linked to the themes of supporting tomorrow’s leaders and assisting people who have been denied or have limited opportunity.
